Sean Thum recently graduated from the Perdana University-Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland programme.
Following his introduction to volunteerism through St John Ambulance in high school, he has been actively participating in various voluntary events across a wide spectrum, including providing first aid services, distributing food to the homeless and urban poor on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, and teaching children.
A two-term executive council member of the Society of Malaysian Medical Association Medical Students (SMMAMS), he is currently working on a project regarding substance misuse with youths from ASEAN countries under the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), and intends to pursue a career in Psychiatry.
