About me
As a Senior Research Fellow at the Atlantic Council's Democracy + Tech Initiative, I focus on conducting research on the interplay between digital technologies and political dynamics. By providing insights into the potential impacts of technology on development and human rights, my work contributes to shaping effective and inclusive digital policies in the Global Majority countries. Currently, I am leading a project aiming to understand the Sub-Saharan Africa region’s unique challenges and opportunities in navigating the digital age.
My aim is to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to fortify democracies in the face of ever-mounting global cyber challenges, drawing on my expertise in digital policy, data protection, and countering malign information operations. I provide informed advice to help shape policies that can effectively counter the risks and harms associated with the misuse of digital technologies, such as malign influence operations, state surveillance, digital repression, and internet fragmentation.
